U-Bahn station was very close to the place. Location short way from everything we needed, like museum folkwang

The Arosa is a clean, comfortable and reasonably priced hotel for business travellers. I've stopped there several times in recent years and always found it to be perfectly adequate. There are numerous bars and restaurants nearby and the city centre is only a short taxi ride away. Overall it offers very good value for money.

The staff here are all very friendly and helpful.

Exceptionally friendly reception on arrival. I cannot remember the name of the woman at the front desk, except that it was of Spanish origin.

Exceptionally unfriendly - to the point of being rude - receptionist on departure.

Very close from the Essen Exhibition Center, only 10 minutes walking distance. The underground station "Martinstrasse" is just in front of the hotel entrance. The room / bathroom is clean, the staff friendly and dedicated.

Very old building (1966) with very old and used furniture. It gives the feeling that the owners didn't invest any money in this hotel for a vey long time. The rooms look like the standard rooms at the time of eastern Germany, even the TV was an oldtimer! The breakfast buffet is quite cheap and the breakfast room not friendly. The full amount of your stay has to be paid on arrival! The only advantage of this hotel is the proximity to the fair. High price for a poor quality, not a good deal and definitely not the right place for honeymooners or a romantic week-end in Essen !

Very good connection by public transport from main station and still in walking distance to the trade fair ground (or one to two stops by public transport). Breakfast is good, including fresh fruit salad!

Sockets for computer and mobile recharging are too few. Wlan should be free (many other hotels offer this). Public transport day pass should be included, but this is apparently not offered by the city and not the decision of an individual hotel (which would like to offer this).

This hotel exceeded our expectations in many ways. the location was perfect. Situated on Ruttenscheider street, we were just a few steps away from a variety of food options, cafes, bistros, and restaurants. The convenience of having these amenities nearby made our stay even more enjoyable. Additionally, the hotel staff were attentive and friendly, providing us with excellent service throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable, with a kingsize bed that ensured a good night's sleep. The attention to detail was evident, from the basic amenities provided to the cleanliness of the rooms. And of course, having breakfast included was a great bonus, allowing us to start our day with a delicious meal.

All aspects of our stay at this hotel were more than satisfactory.

This is a good value for the money hotel. It is especially recommended for he people which do not need a funcy hotel, but just a place to stay.

Great location near restaurants and bars. Comfortable and clean rooms with modern design. Good value for the price, including breakfast. We enjoyed our stay at Yggotel Solsort. I would recommend this hotel.

however, I did not like the hotel comfort the value of money I paid...it is old and the service is not great...they had terrible old pillows...
